Thanks for your comment, Phil. Self-publishing is now misunderstood as do-it-yourself publishing with the terrible results we’ve all seen. Long ago, a colleague joked, “Owning a hammer doesn’t make one a carpenter.”
I remind every client that bookstore books are the gold standard. Successful publishers always hire editorial and design experts to create great books; they know that smart buyers will reject anything less, or even worse, post bad reviews.
Changes like this indicate management is fully focused on their service to their clients.
