Mother of Exiles by James Pace
In Mother of Exiles: Interviews of Asylum Seekers at the Good Neighbor Settlement House, Brownsville, Texas, James Pace documented what is happening on our Southern Borders, giving voice to thousands of desperate people fleeing their homelands.
James Pace was inspired by their diverse stories and the humanitarian aid provided by community volunteers of a small Texas border town. By publishing his book, he hoped to “bring to the forefront the humanitarian crisis and prompt communities of faith to engage in social ethics.”
